REJECTED!

It is not easy for a photographer to edit its own work. We are so emotionally connected to our images that it’s even worse to reject a photograph that looks great but it doesn’t fit in the story.

This image was taken on the street of Srinagar. One of the students I was wandering around with, just squatted alone, by the road, close to a tree that bends in the same way of his back. That tree can be representative of the condition of kashmiri youth. Besides, the sense of loneliness and the feeling of hopelessness was initially working. But, at the end, it didn’t get into the story. Why? Have a look to 2 Identities’ essay and leave your thoughts.
